☕πŸ‚Pumpkins, Leaves & Sweater Weather πŸ‚☕

I’ve been in the mood for all things cozy and fall-inspired as I can feel Autumn in the air already here in Newfoundland. I decided to create this “Sweater Weather” card using my Cricut.

I designed the card around a big cozy cup, then added a warm knitted sweater with a little pumpkin detail. I finished the design with some whipped cream and layered Autumn leaves peeking out from behind the cup.

Nothing says Fall quite like sweater weather, a warm drink, and a few colorful leaves!

πŸ‚πŸHello Fall, Hello Sweater Weather!πŸπŸ‚

Sweater Weather is Here !

There’s something about Autumn that makes me want to reach for cozy sweaters, warm drinks, and beautiful Fall colors ! For this card, I wanted to capture that cozy “sweater weather” feeling.

I used a sweater-inspired embossed background to add lots of texture and dimension, then added a simple layered leaf embellishment in rich autumn colors. The “Sweater Weather” sentiment was the perfect finishing touch.

Sometimes a simple design with a few carefully chosen details is all you need to create that warm and cozy Fall feeling.

πŸŽ…❤️Holly, Jolly & Oh So Festive!❤️πŸŽ…

There’s nothing quite like a classic red-and-green Christmas card !

I started with a bright red cardstock base and added a festive holly and poinsettia patterned paper as the main background. A Santa sticker takes centre stage with his jolly smile and traditional red suit, while the “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” sentiment adds the perfect finishing touch.

I added a few dimensional embellishments, including the shiny holly berries, candy cane and sweet little heart stickers, along with the scalloped border across the bottom. All of those little details give the card plenty of Christmas sparkle and dimension.

I love how cheerful and festive this card turned out. It definitely puts me in the mood for a Holly Jolly Christmas!

Materials-Recollections cardstock, Echo Park pattern paper and stickers, pearl gems (Dollar store), scalloped border (can't remember, I've had it for MANY years!!)

Right now this image and 9 other Halloween/Fall images are FREE at WHITE SPRUCE STUDIO, but only until the end of August, so get over there are nab them ! Details are pinned at the top of the posts.

🌱Planting Seeds of Encouragement🌱

I used a digi called "Little Seedling".

I loved creating this cheerful encouragement card ! I love how the little girl watering the tree represents nurturing something and watching it grow. The “You Can Do It” sentiment adds the perfect touch of encouragement. I used pretty vintage-style patterned paper as the background and added a few red enamel dots for a little extra dimension. This would be a great card to send to someone who needs a little reminder to keep going and believe in themselves !

✏️A Pencil Full of Wishes✏️

It’s hard to believe that summer will soon be coming to an end and it will be time for the kids to head back to school !

I made these fun pencil-shaped cards for my daycare afterschoolers who will be starting back to school in September. I personalized each card especially for them, making each one a little reminder that I’m thinking of them as they begin another school year.

The bright yellow pencil, pink eraser, and fun details make this card perfect for celebrating a fresh start. Inside, I added the sentiment “Wishing you a wonderful school year”.

I hope these little cards put a smile on their faces and help make the first day of school a little more special !

☀️🐝🌻Bee Happy, Bee Sunny!🌻🐝☀️

I had so much fun today creating this cheerful card with my Cricut ! I combined bright yellow sunflowers with fresh green leaves, a cute little bee, and a black-and-white plaid accent for a fun country-inspired look. The honeycomb embossing adds some wonderful texture to the background, while the pops of yellow bring everything to life.

I love how the bold sunflower takes center stage and the sentiment, “Wishing you Sunshine Today” adds the perfect finishing touch.

A little sunshine, a little creativity, and a whole lot of Cricut fun!

Materials-cardstock, plaid and sentiment is print and cut from Cricut, honeycomb embossing folder (gift from crafting friend), distressing ink (Ranger Ink)

πŸ’•Pink, Polka Dots & HappinessπŸ’•

Today I'm sharing a bright and cheerful card featuring one of my favorite things—pretty patterned paper !  The combination of pink, coral and soft neutrals creates such a fun and playful background.

I added a wide pink ribbon along the left side and finished it with a sweet little bow and a glossy red gem. The sentiment, “Enjoy the Moment” is the perfect reminder to slow down and appreciate the little things in life.

A few coordinating gems add the finishing touches and help tie the colors together. I love how this card came together with simple elements, but still has plenty of texture and personality.

Sometimes a pretty piece of patterned paper, a little ribbon and a few embellishments are all you need to create something special !

The sentiment comes from a wonderful motivational bundle at WHITE SPRUCE STUDIO. So many ways this bundle can be used. I printed them all off and have a beautiful set of sentiments to create cards.

Beachy Christmas Wishes

Who says Christmas has to be cold and snowy ? For this card, I decided to bring a little Christmas cheer to the beach!

I created this fun beach-themed Christmas scene featuring a cheerful sand-snowman enjoying a little sunshine while sporting his Santa hat and a festive lei. The soft beach background gives the card a relaxed tropical feel, while the bright colors add plenty of holiday fun.

My favorite part is the use of real seashells as embellishments. I love adding natural elements to my cards, and the shells are the perfect finishing touch for this seaside Christmas design.

The inside sentiment says, “Christmas is Better at the Beach” and I think this little sand-snowman would definitely agree !

A little sunshine, a little sand, and a whole lot of Christmas cheer!

A Touch of Vintage Christmas Magic

There’s something so special about vintage Christmas images, and this jolly Santa was the perfect inspiration for my holiday card !

I went with a soft, muted color palette of icy blue, cream and sepia to really capture that nostalgic, old-fashioned Christmas feel. The beautiful vintage Santa image takes centre stage, while the wide blue ribbon adds a fun pop of color and texture.

I finished the card with a few little gold snowflake embellishments and a cheerful “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” sentiment. I love how all the elements come together to create a card that feels like a little piece of Christmas past.

A little vintage charm, a little sparkle, and lots of Christmas cheer !

Birthday Cheer in Every Strip

Happy to say that I'm a guest designer at GIRLS REBEL CHALLENGE. The challenge this time is "washi tape AND a diecut". There's a new rule that a diecut must be used on your project.

This birthday card came together with washi tape ! I layered several colorful strips in a variety of patterns to create a bright and playful background. It's an easy way to add lots of color and interest without needing patterned paper.

To make the design stand out, I added a skipping girl die cut that creates a striking silhouette against the vibrant background. The "Happy Birthday" die cut ties everything together, while a few glossy enamel dots add the perfect finishing touch and a little extra shine.

I love how simple elements can come together to create a cheerful card that's full of personality. Washi tape is such a fun way to experiment with color and pattern, and no two cards ever turn out exactly the same !

A Little Texture, A Lot of Christmas

The new challenge is posted at FARM QUEST COUNTRY CHRISTMAS. It's "always anything Christmas/Holiday related with a country/outdoor/rural feel".

I had fun creating this festive Christmas card using my Cricut ! I used my Cricut to cut the three larger Christmas trees and then added texture with three different embossing folders to mimic the fun patterns found in the background paper.

I chose a simple red, green, white, and grey color palette and added a soft ribbon and bow for a little extra texture. The Celebrate the Season sentiment was the perfect finishing touch.

I really like how the embossed trees add dimension and make each tree look a little different. It's a simple design, but all those little details help bring the card to life !

Ordinary to Extraordinary

HEART'S QUEST LOVABLE QUOTABLES August challenge is posted. It's "always anything goes with a quote or saying".

For this card, I created a warm orange background with soft floral patterns to let the inspirational quote take center stage. A touch of machine stitching and a scalloped border add texture without taking away from the clean design.

The quote, "Excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well" is a wonderful reminder that greatness is often found in the little things we do every day.
