A Sweet Taste of Summer

Hearts Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags August challenge is posted. It's "always anything goes with a shaped card or tag".

I chose a vibrant pink tag as the base and topped it with a fun "Hello Summer" design featuring colorful popsicles that instantly bring thoughts of sunny afternoons and frozen treats. The playful image is full of bright colors that capture the joy and excitement of the season.

To add a little extra texture, I threaded a soft white fuzzy trim through the top of the tag, giving it a fun finishing touch. Whether it's attached to a gift bag, tied around a summer-themed present, or used as a decorative embellishment, this tag is sure to bring a smile to someone's face.

I love creating tags because they're quick to make and can add a handmade touch to so many different projects. This one reminds me of all the little things that make summer special—ice pops, warm sunshine, laughter, and making memories with family and friends.

I hope this colorful tag inspires you to add a splash of summer to your own crafting. After all, every gift is a little sweeter with a handmade tag !

A Handy Tag for Dad

The new challenge is posted at HEARTS QUEST FOR SHAPED CARDS AND TAGS, and here is my shaped tag.

*Please note on the challenge blog, the extension of the challenge. It will be 6-7 weeks now instead of a month.

I created this fun tag inspired by all the tools and hard work that remind me of my Dad. The bold tool-themed design paired with bright pops of yellow and blue gives the tag a playful yet practical feel. I added the “Dad” sentiment with a heart detail to make it extra special and meaningful.

This project was a great way to create something handmade for Father’s Day, a birthday, or simply to show appreciation for the dads and father figures who are always there to help fix, build, and support us.

I love how a simple tag can become a heartfelt keepsake with just a few creative touches.

Materials-cardstock and key chain

A Tag Full of Birthday Cheer

This month I'm the guest designer at LET'S CRAFT & CREATE. This month the challenge is "anything goes OR tag, you're it".

Today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful birthday tag I created using my Cricut. I wanted something fresh and fun, so I chose a soft pink background and paired it with crisp green accents for a clean, modern look.

The focal point of the tag is this sweet layered daisy, which adds just the right amount of dimension. I lightly inked the petal edges to give them a soft, shaded effect and help them stand out against the background. The leafy details bring in a natural feel and balance the design beautifully.

I finished the tag with a bold “Happy Birthday” sentiment, along with a few enamel dots for a subtle touch of shine. The twine at the top adds a simple finishing touch and makes it perfect for attaching to a gift.

I love how easy it is to create something like this with my Cricut—layering elements and playing with color combinations really brings the design to life. This tag would be perfect for dressing up any birthday present with a handmade touch !

Petal Perfection: A Handmade Cricut Tag

The new challenge is posted at HEARTS QUEST FOR SHAPED CARDS AND TAGS. As always it's "anything as long as it is not your traditional rectangle card or tag".

I enjoyed creating this pretty floral tag using my Cricut ! I love how layering simple shapes can create such a soft, dimensional look. The pastel pink flower really stands out against the clean oval background, and adding a pop of color in the center gives it just the right amount of brightness.

To bring it all together, I added a sweet little bow at the base of the flower and some twine for a finished tag look. It’s the perfect embellishment for a gift, card, or even to tuck into a scrapbook page.

Sometimes the simplest designs are the most eye-catching, and this tag is a perfect example of that—soft colors, clean lines, and just a touch of dimension.

A Tail of Easter Cuteness

Here's my tag.

This sweet little Easter tag was such a fun and playful make! I used soft pastel patterned paper as the base and added a simple bunny silhouette for a clean focal point. The fluffy pom-pom tail gives it that extra touch of texture and charm, while the tiny heart embellishments add a bit of sweetness. I love how the twine finishes it off perfectly—it’s ready to tie onto a treat bag or gift and instantly make it feel extra special. It’s a quick project, but full of cute details that really bring it to life!

Materials: cardstock, patterned paper (from a dollar store), pompom and twine
