Ordinary to Extraordinary

HEART'S QUEST LOVABLE QUOTABLES August challenge is posted. It's "always anything goes with a quote or saying".

For this card, I created a warm orange background with soft floral patterns to let the inspirational quote take center stage. A touch of machine stitching and a scalloped border add texture without taking away from the clean design.

The quote, "Excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well" is a wonderful reminder that greatness is often found in the little things we do every day.

A Little Inspiration to Dream Big

The new challenge at HEART'S QUEST LOVABLE QUOTABLES is "always anything with a quote/saying on it".

Today I'm sharing a bright and cheerful card that reminds us to dream big and never stop reaching for our goals. The vibrant orange background immediately catches the eye and creates a warm, energetic feel.

The focal point is a beautiful vintage-style tag featuring a bird and the inspiring sentiment, "The Sky Is The Limit" (popularized in the late 1800's and early 1900's). I added a soft satin ribbon across the top and tied it into a bow to bring a touch of elegance to the design. The patterned circles and pearl embellishments add fun pops of texture and interest while keeping the layout clean and balanced.

I love how the combination of bold color, playful patterns, and inspirational imagery comes together to create a card that would be perfect for celebrating achievements, encouraging a friend, or simply sending a little motivation. Sometimes a few simple elements are all it takes to create a card with a meaningful message.

A Hundred Years of Love

The challenge at HEART'S QUEST LOVABLE QUOTABLES is "anything with a saying or quote on it".

I’m sharing a card that’s sentimental and heartfelt. The beautiful quote takes center stage, and I really wanted the design to highlight those meaningful words without overpowering them.

I chose a soft, striped background to add subtle interest while keeping the overall look calm and balanced. The warm tones of yellow and red bring a cozy, loving feel to the card.

To give the design a bit of dimension, I added a vellum panel with the Winnie the Pooh quote on it and secured it with enamel dots. This not only adds a unique touch but also helps the sentiment stand out even more. The decorative border trim along the bottom finishes everything off with a bit of playful detail.

This card is perfect for expressing just how much someone means to you. Sometimes, it’s the words themselves that carry the most impact—and I love creating designs that let those words truly shine.

Simple Stitches, Sweet Sentiments

The April challenge at HEART'S QUEST LOVABLE QUOTABLES is posted. You can post ANYTHING with a meaningful, lovable, or thoughtful quote/saying on it.

I wanted to create something simple but full of warmth, so I reached for earthy tones and soft textures for this card. The real stitching adds such a cozy, handmade feel—it’s one of my favorite details because it gives the card that extra touch of love and time.

The layered heart is the focal point, and I love how the soft distressing gives it a slightly rustic, vintage look. Paired with the sweet sentiment, “together is a wonderful place to be” it makes this card perfect for celebrating love, friendship, or just meaningful connections.

This was one of those projects where the little details—like the stitching and subtle color palette—really made everything come together.

Brewing Up a Fun Card

Here's my project with a quote. It's a play on the original quote, "The best things in life are free".

The Best Things In Life Are COFFEE

Coffee lovers will definitely relate to this one ! This cute mug-shaped card features a creamy topping and cinnamon stick, along with a sentiment that many of us can agree with — the best things in life ARE coffee ! Sometimes simple designs (using only cardstock) make the biggest statement.
