I'm the guest designer again at LASTING MEMORIES. This is my final scrapbook page for the month. I want to thank the Lasting Memories team for having me again for another month this year. I really enjoy it and because of my guest spot I have created a total of NINE layouts!!! Woohoo!!

This month the challenges are focused on numbers. This week the number is FIVE, so the challenge is FIVE photos, FIVE stars, FIVE embellishments and FIVE word title on your layout.

Here's the layout I created.

I wanted this scrapbook page to capture something very special about our Christmas tradition—our beautiful collection of angels. I have hundreds of them on the tree every year. Each year, as I decorate the tree, I’m reminded that these little ornaments are so much more than decorations. Each one holds a memory, a story, or a special connection to someone or somewhere in our lives.

For this layout, I featured a few of my favorite angels and surrounded them with a soft, vintage-inspired background and cheerful pops of color. The yellow bows and stars add a little Christmas sparkle while keeping the focus on the angels and the memories they represent.

I’ve included my journaling in the centre of the page, where I could tell the story behind our angel-filled tree. Hundreds of little angels may adorn our tree, but each one holds a memory that makes our Christmases a little more meaningful.

A Tree Full of Memories

Our Christmas tree is so much more than a collection of decorations. Over the years, it has become a beautiful gathering of hundreds of angels, and every single one has a story to tell.

Some were gifts from special people, some were picked up on memorable trips, and others were added to our collection during important moments in our lives. There are angels that remind me of certain Christmases, people we love and moments that I never want to forget.

As I hang each angel on the tree, I’m reminded of the person, place, or memory connected to it. Some bring a smile, some make me a little emotional, and others take me right back to a special time.

Together, these angels tell the story of our family and our Christmases through the years. When the tree is finally decorated and all those little angels are sparkling among the lights, I’m surrounded by hundreds of precious memories—and that makes this one of my favourite Christmas traditions.

Saturday is my day to enjoy the little things I love !

This layout captures what a typical Saturday looks like for me—from starting the day with a good cup of coffee to spending time crafting, playing with my Cricut (I used my Cricut to make the title), and, of course, enjoying some special puppy time.

I wanted this page to feel fun and personal, so I included photos that show the things that make my Saturdays my Saturdays. There’s something so nice about having a day to slow down, get creative, spend time with Zoe, and simply enjoy doing the things I love.

I kept the layout soft and feminine with a pretty pink color scheme, buttons, twine and lots of little details done with a white gel pen.

It’s a snapshot of an ordinary Saturday, but those ordinary moments are often the ones worth remembering most. ☕🐾✂️

🍂Autumn’s Beautiful Path🍂

There’s something so beautiful about Fall in our own backyard. This scrapbook page captures the gorgeous Autumn colors along the brook behind our house, where the changing leaves create a beautiful carpet of gold, orange, and brown.

I wanted to preserve these little moments of seasonal beauty—the winding path, the peaceful brook, and the colorful leaves all reminding me just how special this view is.

Fall has a way of turning an ordinary walk into something magical, and these photos are a wonderful reminder to slow down and enjoy the beauty right outside our door.

🐶🐱Two Little Buddies, One Big Tradition🐱🐶

The September challenge at ONE MORE PAGE is posted and it's "always any size, shape scrapbook page about ANYTHING".

Here's my 12X6 page.

Some Christmas traditions are small, but they make the biggest memories. Every year, these two little stuffed-toy buddies—a dog and a cat—come out to join the Christmas tree decorating. They’ve become a special part of our holiday tradition, and I love seeing them return to the tree year after year. I wanted to create a scrapbook page to capture these two little friends and the happy memories they bring with them each Christmas.

I kept the layout fun and festive with a bright red background, playful stars, and the title “Cute Buddies” It’s a simple page about two little decorations that have earned a special place in our Christmas memories (and even Halloween memories, they join our Jack-O-Lanterns !!) as they represent our own Zoe and Oliver (before Zoe, it was Lexi and Oliver).

🌼Blooming Memories🌼

Here's the layout I created.

A little piece of our summer garden ! These beautiful lilies were blooming in our garden this Summer, and I couldn’t resist taking a few photos to capture their beauty. I love how the white petals and golden centers stand out against the greenery and rustic garden setting.

For my layout, I chose bright yellow mats and accents to complement the warm golden tones in the flowers. I added two simple bows on my two yellow hexagons and a dimensional “Lovely Lilies” title to finish the page. It’s a simple layout, but one that will always remind me of the beautiful flowers we enjoyed in our garden this Summer.

💙🐾One Special Little Girl🐾💙

I'm the guest designer again at LASTING MEMORIES. This month the challenges are focused on numbers. This week the number is ONE, so the challenge is ONE photo, ONE circle, ONE embellishment and ONE word title on your layout.

Here's the layout I created.

Some photos are more than just pictures—they hold an entire memory, and this one of our sweet Lexi is definitely one of those.

Lexi was such a special part of our lives, and we were lucky enough to capture so many beautiful pictures of her. She absolutely loved to pose for the camera, and somehow she always seemed to know when it was time to put on her best face ! Looking through all of her photos brings back so many happy memories and reminds us just how much joy she brought into our lives.

For this layout, I wanted to keep the focus on Lexi and her sweet personality. I chose a beautiful turquoise background and layered a soft aqua circle behind her photo. The torn patterned paper adds a little texture and interest, while the flower and dimensional “cutie” lettering give the page a fun, playful touch.

Lexi may have left us in 2023, but she will always have a special place in our hearts. We miss her more than words can say, but we are so grateful for the years we had with her—and for the countless photographs that let us keep her memory close.

🐝🌼 Queen Bee in Her Happy Place🌼🐝

Sometimes the best scrapbook pages are the ones that capture the little things that make us happy. This layout is all about my happy place—my craft room, where I can put on my headphones, listen to my favourite music, and get lost in creating.

I chose a cheerful combination of floral patterned paper, black-and-white buffalo plaid, and warm yellow accents. The little bees, flowers, honey details, and touches of lace add so much personality to the page.

I love how the two photos capture me enjoying my creative space, and the handwritten journaling adds an extra personal touch. The title “This Is My Happy Place” says it all. 

For me, crafting isn't just about making things—it's about taking some time for myself, getting creative, and simply enjoying the process. This page is a little reminder of just how happy my craft room makes me !

Sweet Girl, Sweet Memories

Today I created a scrapbook layout featuring our sweet Lexi and a special Christmas memory from 2014. Looking back at these photos brought back so many happy memories of our beautiful girl.

I kept the layout bright and festive with cheerful Christmas colors, patterned papers, layered photo mats, and a playful “Sweet Girl” title. Sometimes the older photos are the ones that make the sweetest scrapbook pages—and this one was definitely a joy to create.

Sweet Dreams, Miss Zoe

The August challenge is posted at ONE MORE PAGE, and it's "always anything goes as long as it's a scrapbook page (doesn't matter what size)".

Here's mine.

Some dogs love to play, while others have mastered the art of napping—and Zoe definitely falls into the second category ! Don't get me wrong, she still loves to play, especially with her squeaky balls. This scrapbook page captures a few of her favorite sleeping spots, from curling up on the couch with her favorite toy to snoozing on her blanket and even claiming the cat tree as the perfect place for a nap.

I created this layout using my Cricut, which made it easy to add the layered "Miss Sleepyhead" title and the cute little dog silhouette. I kept the design simple so the photos could tell the story of Zoe's peaceful, sleepy personality. Looking back at these moments always brings a smile to my face and reminds me just how lovable she is.

This is my final week as guest designer at LASTING MEMORIES. Thanks so much for the opportunity !

This week the moodboard is:

Some memories deserve to be celebrated, and this scrapbook page is one I'll treasure forever. It features one of my favorite photos of me with my sweet girl, Zoe, capturing a special day, her 2nd birthday.

I kept the design simple but cheerful with bright patterned papers layered behind the photo, allowing the picture to remain the focal point. The bold title, "Love This Girl" says everything I feel, while the little details—like the paw print strip, handwritten date tag, and pops of turquoise embellishments—help tell Zoe's story.

Scrapbooking is such a wonderful way to preserve the moments that make us smile, and creating this page brought back so many happy memories of my loyal little companion. Every time I look at it, I'm reminded that our pets leave paw prints not only on our hearts but also in the stories we love to tell.

I hope this layout inspires you to scrapbook the special people—and furry family members—who make your life a little brighter.

❤️ Forever Together, Forever HIP ❤️

This is my third week as guest designer at LASTING MEMORIES. This week the moodboard is:

Some scrapbook pages tell a story with words, while others tell it through memories and meaning.

This layout was created to remember October 17, 2017, the day Canada lost one of its greatest musical voices, Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip. My hidden journaling simply records that date—a quiet reminder of a day that many Canadians will never forget.

The black-and-white photo of us wearing our Forever HIP hoodies keeps the focus on the message, while the bright daisy background symbolizes hope, remembrance, and the joy that music continues to bring. Even though Gord is gone, his songs and the memories they created live on in the hearts of so many.

For my husband and me, this page isn't just about a photograph—it's about remembering where we were, what we felt, and celebrating the incredible legacy Gord Downie left behind. Scrapbooking gives me a way to preserve not only life's happy moments but also the milestones that shape our lives and our country, Canada.

🐾 Everyday Memories with Zoe 🐾

I'm continuing my guest designer month at  LASTING MEMORIES.

This month there are moodboards. The second one is this wonderful moodboard...

Here's my scrapbooking page.

Sometimes it's the simplest moments that become the most treasured memories. This layout celebrates a quiet day spent with my sweet Zoe—a day filled with nothing extraordinary, yet everything that matters.

I chose a soft teal floral background to complement the black-and-white photo, allowing the focus to stay on our special bond. Layering the title, adding a favorite quote, and including the date helped tell the story while keeping the design clean and balanced. A few pearl embellishments add just the right finishing touches.

As scrapbookers, we often document birthdays, vacations, and holidays, but I think it's just as important to preserve these everyday moments. They're the memories that make us smile years later and remind us that love is found in the ordinary.

"The best days are the ones spent with you" That simple quote says it all.

I hope this page inspires you to capture the little moments with the people—and pets—you love most. After all, today's ordinary moments become tomorrow's treasured memories.
