Boys at Play

The challenge this week at CHILD'S PLAY is {legos}. 

Here's my layout.

 I found some random pics of the boys playing and at least 2 of these pics have legos in them! I also made little Lego embellishments from paper, a hole punch and some pop dots!

(I used a regular ol' hole punch to create the Lego embellishments. I inked the edges slightly around the blocks and each circle and added the circles with pop dots.I thought they turned out so cute!!)

My Favorite Things Blog Hop

Here's my layout.

I used pics of my son's favorite toy, his Pinocchio. He carried it with him EVERYWHERE. Whatever fun he was having or mischief he got into, Pinocchio was right there with him! Over the years poor Pinocchio has had many stitches, skin grafts, new neck muscles, and his eyes have been re-colored. His little nose took a beating too because Alexander loved rubbing Pinocchio's nose against his. And look at his hair!! 

Right now my son is almost 22 and has named me as Pinocchio's guardian! I love it!

I Want To Play My Xylophone!

The new challenge at CHILD'S PLAY is the wonderful classic toy,{the xylophone}.

 
Here's my layout. I choose to use the green and yellow in the xylophone for my colors. I used white background paper , strips of paper and white brads to mimic the xylophone.

Little Snowman!

At CHILD'S PLAY the challenge is {Shrinky Dinks}. Here's my layout. I went with the "shrink" concept of it and created a layout about a little snowman. I also actually used some Shrinky Dink to make the picture of the snowman on the flower.

Doctor, Doctor

 So much excitement these days on my blog!!! I have to tell you about another design team I'm on, hehe!

I have joined the CHILD'S PLAY challenge blog.

It's a scrapbooking challenge blog just for layouts! I've been lacking lately in that area so I applied to a couple of blogs that are for layouts, to get my scrapbooking mojo going again!

I love the concept of this challenge blog. It uses children's books, games, songs, movies, etc as inspiration. But your layout does NOT necessarily have to be a layout about children. Cool, huh!

As long as you can tell us how you were inspired by the photo!

This week it's a doctor's kit.

I used the theme of doctor and used the colors from the kit on my layout.

I also added a red cross to the layout.

Just What the Doctor Ordered

 There's a hidden tag with journalling:

"When Nathan was 4 he was diagnosed with mild Legge-Calve-Perthes. He spent a few days in the Janeway and followed Doctor's orders.The big tub was one of them. In no time he was going home a happy boy. Nathan hasn't had any hip trouble since! Oct.-Nov. '98"
