💙🐾One Special Little Girl🐾💙

I'm the guest designer again at LASTING MEMORIES. This month the challenges are focused on numbers. This week the number is ONE, so the challenge is ONE photo, ONE circle, ONE embellishment and ONE word title on your layout.

Here's the layout I created.

Some photos are more than just pictures—they hold an entire memory, and this one of our sweet Lexi is definitely one of those.

Lexi was such a special part of our lives, and we were lucky enough to capture so many beautiful pictures of her. She absolutely loved to pose for the camera, and somehow she always seemed to know when it was time to put on her best face ! Looking through all of her photos brings back so many happy memories and reminds us just how much joy she brought into our lives.

For this layout, I wanted to keep the focus on Lexi and her sweet personality. I chose a beautiful turquoise background and layered a soft aqua circle behind her photo. The torn patterned paper adds a little texture and interest, while the flower and dimensional “cutie” lettering give the page a fun, playful touch.

Lexi may have left us in 2023, but she will always have a special place in our hearts. We miss her more than words can say, but we are so grateful for the years we had with her—and for the countless photographs that let us keep her memory close.

Our sweet Lexi… always a cutie, always ready for her close-up, and forever loved.

Birthday Cheer in Every Strip

Happy to say that I'm a guest designer at GIRLS REBEL CHALLENGE. The challenge this time is "washi tape AND a diecut". There's a new rule that a diecut must be used on your project.

This birthday card came together with washi tape ! I layered several colorful strips in a variety of patterns to create a bright and playful background. It's an easy way to add lots of color and interest without needing patterned paper.

To make the design stand out, I added a skipping girl die cut that creates a striking silhouette against the vibrant background. The "Happy Birthday" die cut ties everything together, while a few glossy enamel dots add the perfect finishing touch and a little extra shine.

I love how simple elements can come together to create a cheerful card that's full of personality. Washi tape is such a fun way to experiment with color and pattern, and no two cards ever turn out exactly the same !

❤️🐾Paws, Love & Precious Memories🐾❤️

This is my final week as guest designer at LASTING MEMORIES. Thanks so much for the opportunity !
This week the moodboard is:

Some memories deserve to be celebrated, and this scrapbook page is one I'll treasure forever. It features one of my favorite photos of me with my sweet girl, Zoe, capturing a special day, her 2nd birthday.

I kept the design simple but cheerful with bright patterned papers layered behind the photo, allowing the picture to remain the focal point. The bold title, "Love This Girl" says everything I feel, while the little details—like the paw print strip, handwritten date tag, and pops of turquoise embellishments—help tell Zoe's story.

Scrapbooking is such a wonderful way to preserve the moments that make us smile, and creating this page brought back so many happy memories of my loyal little companion. Every time I look at it, I'm reminded that our pets leave paw prints not only on our hearts but also in the stories we love to tell.

I hope this layout inspires you to scrapbook the special people—and furry family members—who make your life a little brighter.

❤️ Forever Together, Forever HIP ❤️

This is my third week as guest designer at LASTING MEMORIES. This week the moodboard is:

I chose the red, yellow, green and white from the board.
Here's my scrapbook page.

Some scrapbook pages tell a story with words, while others tell it through memories and meaning.

This layout was created to remember October 17, 2017, the day Canada lost one of its greatest musical voices, Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip. My hidden journaling simply records that date—a quiet reminder of a day that many Canadians will never forget.

The black-and-white photo of us wearing our Forever HIP hoodies keeps the focus on the message, while the bright daisy background symbolizes hope, remembrance, and the joy that music continues to bring. Even though Gord is gone, his songs and the memories they created live on in the hearts of so many.

For my husband and me, this page isn't just about a photograph—it's about remembering where we were, what we felt, and celebrating the incredible legacy Gord Downie left behind. Scrapbooking gives me a way to preserve not only life's happy moments but also the milestones that shape our lives and our country, Canada.

☀️ Relax... The Beach Is Calling ☀️

Happy to be the guest designer for GIRLZ CREATIVE CRAFTS. The challenge is "sun, sea, beach".

There's something so calming about a quiet beach and the sound of the waves rolling onto the shore. I wanted this card to capture that peaceful feeling—a place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and simply enjoy the moment.

The round design showcases two Adirondack chairs facing the ocean, inviting you to sit back and take in the beautiful view. I framed the beach scene with a soft turquoise card base, added a coordinating satin bow, and finished the design with some real sand and a trio of tiny seashells for a touch of seaside charm.

Inside, the sentiment reads "Take Time To Relax" making this the perfect card to encourage someone to pause from the busyness of life. Whether it's for a friend, a loved one, or anyone who deserves a little reminder to unwind, I hope this card brings thoughts of warm sunshine, gentle waves, and peaceful moments by the sea.

My Take Time to Relax card can be found at Cricut Design Space.

Vacation Vibes

So happy to be the guest designer for this month's challenge at AAA COLOURFUL !

Here's the colorboard.

...and here's what I created.

Sometimes a handmade card can transport you to another place, and that's exactly what I hoped to capture with this design. I created this round card around a stunning tropical sunset, layering it onto a soft turquoise base to bring out the calming colors of the ocean and the sunset sky. A matching satin bow and a pair of tiny seashells add texture and a beach-inspired finishing touch without taking away from the beautiful scenery.

The sentiment inside simply says "Vacation Vibes" making it a cheerful card that's perfect for wishing someone a relaxing getaway, celebrating a holiday, or simply reminding them to take a moment to unwind. We all deserve a little escape now and then—even if it's just through a handmade card !

I had so much fun creating this project, and I hope it inspires you to bring a little sunshine, sand, and sea into your own crafting.

🐾 Everyday Memories with Zoe 🐾

I'm continuing my guest designer month at  LASTING MEMORIES.

This month there are moodboards. The second one is this wonderful moodboard...

Here's my scrapbooking page.

Sometimes it's the simplest moments that become the most treasured memories. This layout celebrates a quiet day spent with my sweet Zoe—a day filled with nothing extraordinary, yet everything that matters.

I chose a soft teal floral background to complement the black-and-white photo, allowing the focus to stay on our special bond. Layering the title, adding a favorite quote, and including the date helped tell the story while keeping the design clean and balanced. A few pearl embellishments add just the right finishing touches.

As scrapbookers, we often document birthdays, vacations, and holidays, but I think it's just as important to preserve these everyday moments. They're the memories that make us smile years later and remind us that love is found in the ordinary.

"The best days are the ones spent with you" That simple quote says it all.

I hope this page inspires you to capture the little moments with the people—and pets—you love most. After all, today's ordinary moments become tomorrow's treasured memories.

My Little Moments Big Memories scrapbook page can be found at Cricut Design Space.

🍁 Canadian Pride in Bloom 🍁

Happy to be the guest designer at ELLIBELLE'S GARDEN PARTY this month!!

The challenge is "always anything in or from a garden".

This Canada Day card combines two things I like—paper flowers and patriotic themes ! I created a bouquet of layered roses in Canada's signature red and white, arranged in a vase inspired by the Canadian flag. The dimensional flowers add plenty of texture and depth, making the design really stand out.

To complete the card, I added a waving Canadian flag and a bold "Happy Canada Day" sentiment. The soft blue background provides a lovely contrast to the red and white elements, helping the festive colors shine. I love how the card celebrates Canada's national holiday in an elegant and cheerful way.

This design would be perfect for sending warm Canada Day wishes to friends and family or displaying as part of your holiday décor. It's a wonderful reminder of the beauty, pride, and community that make Canada such a special place to call home.

❄️A Winter Walk and A Wagging Tail❄️

So happy to be the guest designer for LASTING MEMORIES for the month of July.

This month there are moodboards. The first one is this awesome moodboard...

Here's the scrapbook page I created.

I'm sharing a winter-themed scrapbook page featuring my sweet Zoe enjoying a snowy day. These photos capture some special moments from our Winter outing, bundled up against the cold and making memories together.

I chose snowflake papers in shades of blue, red, and white to complement the winter theme and highlight my bright red hat. The large "Zoe" title creates a strong focal point, while the playful "You Are Snow Cute" sentiment perfectly describes my furry companion.

To add interest and texture, I included decorative a ricrac trim, snowflake embellishments, and buttons. The combination of winter elements and candid photos tells the story of a fun day spent outdoors with a beloved furry friend.

Looking back at these pictures always makes me smile. They remind me that some of life's happiest moments are the simple ones—sharing a snowy walk, a few laughs, and precious time with a loyal companion.

🦒 One Tall Hello 🦒

So excited to be a guest designer at CREATIVE CREASES this month!!

This fun giraffe card is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face! The long-necked giraffe is the perfect match for the sentiment, "Hi There! Long Time No See" creating a playful pun that makes the design extra special. I love how the giraffe stretches the entire length of the slimline card, drawing the eye from top to bottom and making the most of the unique card format.

The embossed green background adds texture and interest without taking attention away from the adorable giraffe. The googly eyes give the character plenty of personality and a whimsical touch, making it look as though the giraffe is peeking in to say hello.

This card would be perfect for reconnecting with a friend, sending a cheerful note, or simply letting someone know you're thinking of them. Sometimes a cute character and a simple greeting are all it takes to brighten someone's day!

Floral Elegance with a Gentle Touch

I'm guest designer at GIRLZ CREATIVE SPLASH IT WITH COLOR and the challenge is "pink and/or green".

Here's what I created.

For this card, I wanted to create something soft, elegant, and encouraging. The beautiful floral background has such a lovely vintage feel, and I paired it with a delicate sheer ribbon to add texture and softness. The pearl embellishments bring just the right amount of detail and shine without taking away from the gorgeous floral design.

The sentiment, Be your own kind of beautiful is such a meaningful reminder to embrace what makes us unique. I love creating cards that not only look pretty but also share a little encouragement and positivity.

This card came together with a mix of feminine details, layered textures, and gentle colors that give it a warm and timeless feel. It would be perfect for sending a thoughtful note to a friend or simply brightening someone’s day.
