The challenge at PAPER ROCKS SCISSORS is "always anything made with paper and/or scissors".
I loved creating this bright and airy bookmark using my Cricut ! I wanted something simple but still eye-catching, so I went with a layered design featuring hot air balloons drifting through the clouds.
The bold teal frame really makes the design pop, while the soft background keeps it feeling light and whimsical. I love how the negative space from the cutouts creates such a crisp, clean look—sometimes less really is more !
To finish it off, I added a bit of twine at the top for texture and that classic bookmark feel. It’s a small project, but it’s perfect for adding a handmade touch to my reading time or gifting to a fellow book lover.
This design reminds me to slow down, relax, and just “drift away” into a good book.
