An Apple a Day… of Summer Fun!

I'm guest designer at GIRLZ & THE ART OF LETTERS is "A is for...".

I chose "apple".

This adorable apple-shaped card was such a fun project to create ! I wanted something bright, cheerful, and full of personality to celebrate the start of summer, and this happy little apple definitely makes me smile. The embossed texture gives the apple extra dimension, while the layered leaves and sweet face add a playful touch.

I kept the design bold and simple with vibrant red cardstock and cute details like rosy cheeks and shiny highlights. Inside, the card says “Have a Great Summer” — perfect for teachers, students, or anyone ready to enjoy sunny days and summer adventures.

This card reminds me that handmade cards don’t always need lots of embellishments to make a big impact. Sometimes a cute shape and a happy face are all you need !
